To make an appointment please call the surgery at 8:30am to have a phone triage with the GP, nurses appointments are pre bookable.
We operate a phone triage system where your need for a face to face appointment will be assessed. This enables us to deal with more that 90% of the requests we receive on the day.

Urgent appointments
To request an urgent appointment for today during opening times:

If the surgery is fully booked and you need to be seen on the day for an urgent illness we will make you an emergency appointment, please make sure that you call before 9am. You will be invited to come in and wait for a gap.
Routine appointments
To request a routine appointment in advance during opening times:
- phone us on 01582 563 373
- use your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App) or SystmOnline to book an appointment, screening test or vaccination
Telephone consultations
The doctor is normally prepared to give advice on the telephone unless actually consulting when you call. The receptionist will assist by passing on your queries or messages to or from your doctor.
You will be asked for the best telephone number to be contacted on later and a brief description of the issue at hand to enable the clinicians to prioritise the urgency of callbacks.
Cancelling or changing an appointment
If you are unable to keep an appointment, please contact us to cancel as early as possible. If you arrive more than 10 minutes late for an appointment, you might not be seen on the day, or you will be asked to wait till the end of the surgery to be seen.
This is to avoid unnecessary delay and distress to patients who arrive on time for their allocated appointments.
Please make sure that we have up to date phone numbers for you as we will send out texts to confirm and remind you of appointments.

If you need help when we are closed
If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or call 111.
NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.
Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.
If you need help with your appointment
Please tell us:
- if there’s a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to respond
- if you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone, face-to-face, by video call or by text or email
- if you need an interpreter
- if you have any other access or communication needs
Home visits
If possible please try to phone reception before 10am if you require a home visit.
You may only request a home visit if you are housebound or are too ill to visit the practice. Your GP will only visit you at home if they think that your medical condition requires it and will also decide how urgently a visit is needed.
You can be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP. You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.
